Surrey Council has approved a 14.5-million-dollar contract for the finishing touches at the Cloverdale Sport and Ice Complex.
Graham Construction and Engineering was awarded the contact for envelope and interior finishes for the complex.
The company was previously awarded four other contracts for construction of Cloverdale.
Mayor Brenda Locke says the first two of three ice sheets are expected to open in September 2024, with the third finished by the summer of 2027.
Mounties believe that it was a targeted shooting. A dark coloured pickup truck was observed fleeing the scene and investigators have located an abandoned vehicle suspected of being involved in the incident in Surrey.

Health Canada has authorized a booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children between five and 11 years old, chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said Friday.
