R-C-M-P in Coquitlam are looking for a suspect in an assault that happened at Burns Park that left a 39-year-old man with minor injuries.
It happened on April 11th when The Mounties say two men got into a verbal dispute over their dogs playing together at the park.
Police say the suspect believed the victim's dog had injured his dog and wanted financial compensation in return.
They say the suspect may have sought medical treatment for his dog at a local veterinarian clinic.
Zachary Armitage was sentenced to life in prison without chance of parole for 25 years for the first-degree murder of Martin Payne in what B.C. Supreme Court Justice David Crossin called a senseless, shocking and grotesque attack. The murder in July 2019 was "absolutely cowardly, without qualification," Crossin told Armitage.
