Crash Complicates Canadian Tour Of Country Singer Jason Aldean

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 06 Oct, 2015 12:51 PM
KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Country star Jason Aldean might be mulling a new hit single about a truck and a cowboy singing the blues, but if he records it, the song won't be fictional.

Aldean's 2015 Burn It Down tour played in Kamloops, B.C., on Monday night and was headed to a Tuesday performance in Prince George, when all those cliches about trucks, dirt roads and disaster played out.

The road wasn't dirt — it was Highway 1 just west of Kamloops — but RCMP Cpl. Cheryl Bush says a semi-trailer loaded with Aldean's equipment crashed early Tuesday morning.

She says the driver was slightly hurt when the semi went off the right shoulder of the highway, hit a rock and flipped.

    Police are investigating the crash.

Aldean is on a swing through Western Canada before heading to Florida later this month, and there's no word how the crash could affect the tour schedule. (CFJC)
