Mounties say they're searching for a suspect after a cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Vancouver Island.
The Comox Valley R-C-M-P say a passerby found the injured male cyclist late last night near a road in Courtenay, and called 9-1-1, but the cyclist later died in hospital.
Police have not released the victim's name or age.
They say he was riding a red and white bike specialized bike, and investigators want to hear from anyone who may have seen him on the road.
RCMP were called to the Foster Avenue and North Road area shortly before 9:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting on Sunday. When police arrived, they found Garcha with gunshot wounds.
