David Anderson, 59-year-old Maple Ridge Man, Charged With Child-Luring

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 11 Sep, 2014 02:57 PM
Child-luring charges have been laid against a 59-year-old Maple Ridge, B.C., man who allegedly tried to meet up with someone he thought was a teenage girl.

RCMP Insp. Rick Greenwood says an investigator who posed online as a 13-year-old girl was approached last month by David Anderson, who said he was a teenage boy.

Anderson said he wanted to meet the supposed girl and arranged a date and time to do so.

Greenwood says that after a period of surveillance, officers arrested Anderson at his home.

Police say Anderson was involved in a previous luring incident and is now facing two counts of luring a child online.

He is also charged with breaching probation conditions preventing him from Internet access or contact with any female child under the age of 16 unless he is in the company of a responsible adult.
