Developer Bob Cheema Files Defamation Suit Against Surrey Councillor Jack Hundial

Darpan News Desk, 09 Oct, 2019 08:15 PM

Surrey Councillor Jack Hundial is being sued by Surrey developer and businessman Bob Cheema.

Solicitor General’s office says that according to the council motion from Jack Hundial erroneously stated Cheema attended meeting between government officials which included Mayor Doug McCallum but the latter only arranged the meeting.

“Prior to tabling the Motion and publishing the Statement, Hundial failed to verify whether the plaintiff was present at the Meeting,” the suit states.

Bob Cheema said to have played a significant role for McCallum in 2018.
