Did you accidentally donate a large amount of cash to Value Village? Coquitlam RCMP is asking the rightful owner to come forward.

On May 28, 2021, a large amount of cash was found in a donation to Value Village located at 2739 Barnet Highway, Coquitlam. A customer service representative found the large sum of cash inside the donation and immediately called police, says Constable Deanna Law spokesperson for the Coquitlam RCMP. When the right person does call us, they will need to answer specific questions to make sure we are returning the cash to the correct individual.

The rightful owner must be willing to describe the amount, denominations, and what the cash was donated in.

Coquitlam RCMP would like to remind the public that if you have lost a large amount of money, you could call police and make a report. There is no reason to feel uncomfortable, says Constable Deanna Law. Police simply would like to get the money back to the rightful owner.

To reach the investigator and claim the found cash from May 28, 2021, call the Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency number at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2021-14042.
