Dirt Biker Tells Tim Bosma's Murder Trial He Found Incinerator On Accused's Farm

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 17 Feb, 2016 11:17 AM
HAMILTON — The trial of Tim Bosma's accused killers is hearing today from a witness who said he saw an incinerator on a farm owned by one of the accused four days after the Hamilton man disappeared.

Chaz Main told jurors he was riding his motorbike on May 10, 2013, when he came across a "big redneck smoker" on a property in Ayr, Ont., that was owned by Dellen Millard.

Millard, of Toronto, and Mark Smich, of Oakville, Ont., have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in Bosma's death.

Bosma disappeared on the night of May 6, 2013, after taking two strangers on a test drive of a black Dodge Ram pickup truck he was trying to sell.

His body was found more than a week later burned beyond recognition.

The Crown alleges Bosma was shot inside his truck and later his body was burned in an incinerator.

Main says the incinerator he saw on Millard's property was on a heavy duty trailer with a large propane tank.

He says he also saw a large excavator and a "skid steer" in a nearby swamp and thought the items were so unique he had to take photos of them.

When police were searching Millard's property, Main says he approached the officers and told them about the incinerator and the excavator he'd seen on the sprawling property near Waterloo, where he often went dirt biking.
