Disappearance Of Northwestern Newfoundland Woman Now Considered Suspicious

The Canadian Press, 07 Dec, 2016 11:30 AM
ST. ANTHONY, N.L. — The RCMP in northwestern Newfoundland say the disappearance of Jennifer Hillier-Penney is considered suspicious.

The Mounties in St. Anthony say they have conducted a ground and air search of the community and surrounding areas and a search of the St. Anthony harbour will take place today.

The RCMP major crime unit, police dog services, a forensic identification section, Mounties from multiple detachments and search and rescue crews are involved in the investigation.

The 38-year-old Hillier-Penney was last seen one week ago in the Husky Drive area of St. Anthony and at the time, police said they were concerned for her well-being.

Investigators are asking residents of St. Anthony to check their properties and to call RCMP if anything unusual is found.
