Driver allegedly spits on cyclist & strikes them with their vehicle

Victoria police say they are looking for a driver who allegedly spat on a cyclist and struck them with their vehicle.
They say the cyclist was at an intersection the afternoon of March 17th when the driver of a black S-U-V spat at them through their open window.
Police say the cyclist confronted the driver when they met again at another intersection where cyclist was struck by the vehicle and knocked off their bike.
Victoria police say the S-U-V is described as a 2010-2014 model with B-C Parks license plates and pre-existing damage to the driver’s side door.
Five members of Parliament are in the Middle East to hear from Palestinians about how Canada can best push for peace and human rights in the region. The group Canadian-Muslim Vote is paying for the Liberal and NDP MPs to visit the region for six days, alongside humanitarian groups.

In British Columbia, rescue crews say two skiers are lucky to be alive after they became lost in the Fitzsimmons Creek area near Whistler late Thursday as wind chill dipped around -50 C. North Shore Rescue says on social media that a helicopter was used to hoist out the pair who were hypothermic with frozen feet, and it's "unlikely the skiers would have survived the night."
Mounties in Coquitlam are reminding the public that its emergency and non-emergency lines are not meant for complaints about things like a cold fast-food burger. Police say that was one of many calls they had to 9-1-1 that take away staff time from helping someone with a life-threatening situation.
