Driver charged with impaired driving causing death

Surrey R-C-M-P say a driver has been charged with impaired driving causing death after a pedestrian was struck and killed while at a bus stop over the weekend.
Investigators say on Saturday afternoon a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and then collided with a bus stop bench injuring two pedestrians and causing damage to the surrounding property.
Police say one male pedestrian was declared dead at the scene and a second was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
A 44-year-old driver was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and impaired driving causing death.
Police in Vancouver say a 54-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly chased a group of teenagers with a knife. They say a 16-year-old boy called 9-1-1 to report he and his friends were being threatened by an armed stranger.
