AGASSIZ, B.C. — RCMP say a woman was killed instantly when logs from a tipped-over truck came loose and struck her vehicle near Agassiz, B.C.

Sgt. Annie Linteau says the fully loaded westbound logging truck appears to have rolled over a curb on Lougheed Highway shortly after noon on Monday.

A power pole was knocked down, and the highway between Mount Woodside and Mission was expected to be closed in both directions for up to seven hours.
