Mounties in B-C are recommending numerous charges against an Edmonton man after a drug seizure at a Canadian border crossing in Surrey.
The Canada Border Services Agency says the driver was arrested and officers seized roughly 65 kilograms of cocaine at the crossing last July after a detector dog raised the alarm during a commercial truck examination.
The truck was carrying a shipment of dried goods bound for Calgary.
Police say the incident happened at around 1:30 p-m, when a black S-U-V driving southbound near the 3600 block of 152 Street struck another southbound car, left the road, and went into the Nicomeki River.

On Friday, at 8:06 a.m., police responded to the report of a shooting in a residential driveway located in the 8100-block of 144A Street. Police found an adult male suffering from apparent gun shot wounds and provided medical assistance until Emergency Health Services arrived on scene.
