Edmonton Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Truck Crashes Into Store

    EDMONTON — A man faces attempted murder charges after witnesses say a truck was deliberately crashed into an Edmonton gas station store when the driver was told he had to pre-pay for fuel.
     
    Police say a Ford F-150 smashed through the front window of the Petro-Canada on Wednesday and struck two employees, pinning both under the truck.
     
    They suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and were being treated in hospital.
     
    Officers say they were told a man then got out of the truck and assaulted two other people, who were treated for less serious injuries.
     
    Police say the driver left the area but then returned to the store, where he was arrested.
     
    Steven Cloutier, who 38, faces four counts of attempted murder as well as charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, dangerous driving causing bodily harm and assault.
