Edmonton Priest Faces Sex Charges Over Allegations Dating Back To The 1980s

    EDMONTON — An Anglican priest faces sex related charges stemming from allegations dating from when he worked at a youth jail in Edmonton in the 1980s.
     
    Police say Gordon William Dominey, 63, is accused of sexually assaulting five youths when he worked at the Edmonton Youth Development Centre between 1985 and 1989.
     
    Investigators began looking into the allegations back in September.
     
    Dominey was arrested on Thursday in Coquitlam, B.C.
     
    He faces five charges of sexual assault and five charges of gross indecency.
     
    A court date for Dominey has not been set yet.
