Expo Line and Millennium Line shut down again after technical glitch

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 21 Jul, 2014 04:32 PM
SkyTrain Expo and Millenium Lines commuters were once again left stranded after a technical glitch that caused these train networks to shut down.

Canada Line, however, servicing Vancouver, Richmond and Vancouver International Airport, has not been affected by this glitch.

Meanwhile, additional buses have been requested for approximately four hours to service the SkyTrain station.

"We appreciate your patience as our technicians attempt to get the system functional again," said a press release by TransLink. "Further updates will be available as we know more."

At a particular station, passengers began walking along the tracks to escape the halted train. Addressing the issue TransLink official Jiana Ling said,"We would ask them to wait patiently. Please do not go out on the tracks as the tracks are still live with electricity."
