Father Of Woman Charged In Son's Death Called As Character Witness At Her Trial

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 06 Dec, 2016 12:56 PM
CALGARY — The father of a Calgary woman on trial in the death of her son from a strep infection says his daughter and grandson were inseparable.

Don Lovett, a communications consultant, was one of a number of character witnesses called by the defence at Tamara Lovett's trial.

He said he never had any reason to worry about his grandson Ryan's safety.

Tamara Lovett is charged with failing to provide the seven-year-old with the necessaries of life and criminal negligence causing his death.

Court has heard Lovett treated Ryan with dandelion tea and oil of oregano instead of taking him to hospital.

Closing arguments in the case are to be held Friday.
