Fight Outside Burrard SkyTrain Station: Vancouver Police Seek Witnesses

Darpan News Desk, 28 Mar, 2019 07:18 PM

Vancouver Police want to speak with witnesses to a serious assault last Wednesday evening near the Burrard Street Skytrain Station.

At around 7:30 p.m. on March 20, two men, known to each other, got into an altercation on Melville Street at Burrard Street. One of the men allegedly attacked the other with a weapon before fleeing. The victim, a 47-year-old man from Vancouver, jumped into a taxi and got himself to hospital for emergency treatment.

“This is a busy area with people coming and going from the Skytrain and local businesses,” says Constable Jason Doucette, VPD. “We understand a couple of people may have tried to assist, and we’d like to hear from them.”

Anyone who may have witnessed this assault, or has information about the incident, is asked to call detectives in the VPD’s Major Crime Section at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
