Five-Year-old missing since Boxing Day found dead in river

    The body five-year-old Robbie Reiner who went missing on Boxing Day in New Hamburg, a southern Ontario town, was discovered dead on the banks of the Nith River Tuesday morning.

    Authorities believe Reiner was playing near the river when we he fell through the ice.

    Search operations were suspended after several days due to harsh weather conditions, but the body was found by two search volunteers Tuesday near Haysville bridge, about 12 km from where it is believed he originally fell in.  

    Police said that a post-mortem will be conducted to conclude the cause of death.
