Girl, 3, To Make Full Recovery After Being Run Over In Prince George, B.C.

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 20 Dec, 2018 11:45 PM

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — A three-year-old girl whose midsection was run over by an SUV in Prince George, B.C., is expected to make a full recovery.

Police say it happened Wednesday in a retail strip-mall parking lot.

Investigators say a woman driving the SUV jumped over a median and travelled against the flow of traffic before entering the parking lot.

The toddler was standing near a parent who was tending to a younger child when the driver hit the girl and a tire from the SUV rolled over her midsection.

Police say the child was taken to hospital for treatment and she is expected to make a full recovery.

The driver stayed at the scene and police say alcohol wasn't a factor in the crash but they add that charges are expected against the driver.
