Help further mischief investigation: Surrey RCMP

Darpan News Desk Surrey RCMP, 28 Jan, 2021 06:46 PM
  • Help further mischief investigation: Surrey RCMP

Surrey RCMP is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage related to two mischief incidents that occurred in South Surrey.

Shortly before 1 p.m. on January 25, 2021, Surrey RCMP received a report of graffiti spray-painted along the gym and courtyard at a school located in the 1700-block of 148 Street. A second report was received of graffiti spray-painted on a church in the 14800-block of 24 Avenue.

Officers believe the two incidents may be related and occurred sometime during the evening of January 23, 2021. The content of the graffiti message at the church is particularly concerning, says Superintendent Manly Burleigh, Surrey RCMP Operations Officer. As part of the investigation, officers will seek to identify whether this mischief was motivated by hate.

Anyone with information about this incident or dash-cam footage from the area of the school or church on the evening of January 23, 2021, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502
