Homicide Detectives Respond To Deadly Assault In Chilliwack, B.C.

CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Homicide investigators have taken over the case in Chilliwack, B.C., after a man died following an assault.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says the unnamed victim was assaulted in the Fraser Valley community on Wednesday morning.

He died a short time later in hospital.

Chilliwack assault on Glenwood St. now considered a homicide. #IHIT lead agency, working with the UFVRD RCMP. Written release to come.

IHIT says more information is expected to be released later.

Detectives have not said how the man died or whether any suspects have been identified.
