Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 05 Dec, 2015 03:06 PM
Homicide investigators are looking for any witnesses of a targeted double shooting in Surrey to come forward.

Surinderpal Singh Hehar died after a gunman attacked him and a second man in Surrey's East Newton neighbourhood, near his home at 152 Street and 66A Avenue on Nov. 21. The second gunshot victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Hehar, a longshoreman, was a beloved member of the field hockey club, members say.

Surrey RCMP were called after midnight when residents in the area reported gunshots.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting.
