  • Homicide team investigating shooting that left one dead in Langley, B.C.

Homicide investigators have been called in after a shooting in Langley, B.C., in which one person died.

Langley RCMP say they and other emergency services were called to a report of shots fired in the 5400 block of Brydon Cres., around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They say a person was found in medical distress and despite efforts to save them, they died at the scene.

RCMP Sgt. Zynal Sharoom says the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case, which is still in its early stages.

Officers will be canvassing the neighbourhood for witnesses.

Anyone with information who hasn't already spoken to police is urged to call the IHIT information line.
