House Fire Claims Life Of 74-Year-Old Woman In Chilliwack, B.C.

    CHILLIWACK, B.C. — A 74-year-old woman has died in a house fire under investigation in Chilliwack, B.C.
     
    RCMP say Wednesday night's blaze engulfed the two-storey home.
     

    Firefighters found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries in the residence but she died in hospital.
     
    Cpl. Mike Rail says police do not believe the fire was linked to others that have recently occurred in the area.
     
    The fire department and the coroners service are also investigating.
     
    Mounties are asking anyone with information to contact police.
