  • Human Remain Found Near An Industrial Complex In Whistler; Identity, Gender Unknown: Police
WHISTLER, B.C. — Homicide investigators are trying to identify human remains that have been found near an industrial complex in Whistler, B.C.

Sgt. Stephanie Ashton of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says in a news release that a local resident found them on Wednesday evening and called police.

Ashton says that because of decomposition, officers have not been able to identify the individual, cause of death or gender.

She says an autopsy will be required to gather that information and shed light on the circumstances leading to the death.

Ashton says further analysis will also be required to determine if foul play is a factor.

Police will remain on scene and Ashton says they will prevent public access to the area for an extended period of time during the investigation.
