  • Human remains found scattered along a rural property near Kamloops, B.C., police say

Mounties in Kamloops, B.C., say they are investigating a scene where partial human remains are scattered across a ruralproperty

Police say the southeast district major crime unit has been called in to the Pendleton Creek area, west of Kamloops, where the remains were discovered.

They say investigators are "unsure of the point of origin of the scattered partial remains."

Police say they're treating the death as suspicious.

Staff Sgt. Jason Smart says they are in the early stages of their investigation and are looking for anyone who may know how the person died or how the body came to be there.

He says work continues to determine the identity of the body and the circumstances of the death.
