Husband Posts Hindu Wife's Nude Photos, Threatens With Talaq On Her Refusal To Convert To Islam

IANS, 06 Apr, 2018 03:06 PM
In a shocking case from Haryana, a husband and his friends circulated nude photos of his wife online after the later refused to convert to Islam. The incident took place in Haryana's Panchkula city.

The Muslim husband had been pressurizing his Hindu wife to convert to Islam for a while. After her  constant refusal, the man threatened to give her talaq or divorce.

Later, the husband along with his friends circulated nude photos of the wife on social media, alleged the woman.

It is not clear as to how long has the couple been married.

One accused has been arrested in the case, said the police.

“We received no complaint over forcing her to convert religion,” added Haryana police.

In November last year, a former model based in Mumbai alleged that her Muslim husband assaulted her and forced to convert to Islam. The woman further said that the husband has "remarried a Hindu girl half his age” and has asked her to leave their house.
