ICBC tells drivers to exercise caution this Easter long weekend

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 28 Mar, 2024 10:05 AM
  • ICBC tells drivers to exercise caution this Easter long weekend

I-C-B-C says drivers should use extra caution on the roads this upcoming long weekend.

The insurance corporation says weather can be unpredictable around Easter, and overlap with the holiday weekend and spring break means roads will be likely packed with road trippers and families on vacation.

I-C-B-C says people should plan their trips ahead, avoid driving fatigued and ensure their vehicles are in good shape and have winter tires if travelling through the mountains.

The company says the Easter long weekend on B-C roads sees an average of one fatality and more than 570 people injured in more nearly 22-hundred crashes each year.
