Homicide detectives are releasing the identity of a man killed in a shooting in Langley over the weekend in hopes of advancing the investigation.

Police say Johnathan Hebrada-Walters of Edmonton was known to police, and initial investigation indicates he was the victim of a targeted shooting.

Hebrada-Walters was killed on September 21st near Willoughby, where police responded to shots fired at the scene and found one man dead and another victim injured.

The injured man, whose identity, has not been released, is also known to police, and investigators say the shooting is likely linked to the ongoing gang conflict in B-C.
