IIO Deploys To Incident In Vancouver

    Surrey, BC – The Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of BC has deployed investigators following a police service dog-related injury in Vancouver.

     

    According to Vancouver Police, a man broke into a home on Balkan Street late the morning of Tuesday, October 29, 2019.


    At approximately 11:15 a.m., officers – aided by a police service dog – arrested the man at East 21st Avenue and Main Street. During the arrest, the dog bit the man on the left arm, causing injury. The man was transported to hospital.
