Indecent act near Burnsview Secondary School: Delta Police

On Friday, Delta Police were called to Burnsview Secondary School for an indecent act that had occurred earlier in the day.

At around noon a witness observed a man masturbating in the wooded area behind the school. Upon being seen masturbating, the male ran away.

Via release, the suspect is described as a South Asian or dark-skinned male, 25-30 years old with a short beard, large nose, large lips, and approximately 5'8” to 6’ tall. He was wearing a black puffer jacket, red t-shirt, black jeans, black shoes, black toque with a brown bobble on top, and with Airpods in his ears.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area of Burnsview Secondary School on November 18^th between 11 am and 12 pm who may have seen this male, to please contact the Delta Police.

If you have dash camera video or surveillance video from your home in the same area, you are also asked to contact investigators.

On January 21^st, 2022, the Delta Police responded to a similar incident in the same area. In that instance, the suspect was described as a South Asian male, aged 20-30 years old, 6 feet tall, with broad shoulders, and wearing a sky-blue toque with a gray zip-up hoodie, black windbreaker, and blue jeans.

While the two incidents are not confirmed to be connected, the possibility is being considered and evidence from both files is being compared.

Collision claims life of 80 year old motorcyclist at Cherry Creek

The motorcyclist, a man in his eighties from the Kamloops area, died as a result of the collision. The driver of the van, a man in his seventies from the East Kootenays, was not injured in the crash, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
