VANCOUVER — A man has fallen from a third floor window in Vancouver, suffering injuries described by police as life-threatening.

A police news release says it happened Thursday in the Vancouver's Downtown Eastside neighbourhood.

Property crime team investigators were attempting to execute a search warrant at the time.

Police say the man, in his 50s, was rushed to hospital but his current condition has not been released.

Members of the Independent Investigation Office, the organization in B.C., that examines all incidents of police-involved death or serious injury, are investigating.

Officials say the property crime case is also continuing.
