Correctional Service Canada says an inmate has died after an assault at a B-C prison.
The service says the 43-year-old inmate died Sunday while in the custody of the Kent Institution in Agassiz.
Police and the coroner has been notified of the death.
The victim was serving an indeterminate sentence that began in January 2021.
A family of killer whales has made a rare trip into waters off downtown Vancouver for what an expert says was likely a "grocery shopping" hunt for harbour seals. British Columbia is making disaster financial assistance available to victims of floodwaters that gushed through several communities when an atmospheric river dumped hundreds of millimetres of rain on parts of the province last month.
