  • Late Sunday night shooting in Richmond turns fatal for one man and lands another in hospital

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday frontline RCMP officers responded to the 8000 block Sunnymede Crescent after the sounds of gunfire were heard.

Two men were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds. One was transported to hospital while the other was pronounced deceased.

While it is still early in this investigation, this incident appears to be targeted.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time pending this investigation.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been contacted and has taken conduct of this investigation.

The photos show Jordan Daniel Goggin wearing two outfits during the course of the shootings, which began around midnight and lasted nearly six hours before police shot and killed him. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team describes Goggin as a six-foot-one Caucasian man, weighing 150 pounds, with light brown hair and a slight goatee.
