Man Charged With Murder Of Woman In Vancouver Home Makes Court Appearance

    SURREY, B.C. — A 28-year-old man accused of killing a woman in a Vancouver home has made his first court appearance.
     
    Brian Whitlockwas ordered not to have any communication with two witnesses.
     
    According to court documents, the dead woman is Whitlock's mother.
     
    Her body was found by a relative on Saturday night.
     
    Whitlock was charged with second-degree murder on Sunday, several hours after police said a man with mental health issues had barricaded himself inside the home on the city's west side.
     
    The case has been put over until Nov. 24. (CKNW)
