Police say a man is dead after his pickup collided with a semi-truck near Quesnel.
Mounties say the crash happened on November 29th just before 4:30 p-m on Highway 97 north of the community.
Police say the 37-year-old driver of the pickup, a man from Quesnel, was pronounced death at the scene.
The semi driver was not injured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
An operating permit has been granted for the Cariboo Gold Mine in central British Columbia, a project that's expected to process 1.1 million tonnes of gold-bearing ore a year but is still opposed by a First Nation.
