Man Dead After Dispute Between Two Inmates At Port Coquitlam, B.C., Jail

    COQUITLAM, B.C. — Police say a man has died following an altercation between two inmates at a jail in Port Coquitlam, B.C.
     
    RCMP were called to the North Fraser Pre-Trial Centre on Sunday when staff reported the incident between two men.
     
    One man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died Friday.
     
    The other man, a 27-year-old inmate, was charged with aggravated assault and remains in custody.
     
    Police say further charges against him are being considered.
     
    The Integrated Homicide Investigations Team has taken over the case.
