Police in Abbotsford say a 31-year-old man is dead after being hit by a snowplow this morning.
Officers say the man lost control of his vehicle on Highway 1 and went into the ditch.
While walking along the road around 6 a-m, he was struck by a pickup truck equipped with a privately-run snowplow.
Police say harsh weather and snow are likely contributing factors in the incident.
