The Canadian Press, 13 Sep, 2017 11:56 AM
NANAIMO, B.C. — Police say a man is dead following an assault in Nanaimo, B.C.

RCMP Cpl. Jon Stuart says a man was found injured in an apartment building on Monday night.

The man, who's name has not been released, later died of his injuries.

Stuart says no arrests have been made, but police believe the attack was an isolated incident.

He says the investigation is in its infancy and officers are pursuing a number of leads.

If the death is confirmed a homicide, it would be the third in Nanaimo this year.
