Man found dead in his Clayton Heights home: IHIT

Darpan News Desk IHIT, 16 Feb, 2021 10:43 PM
  • Man found dead in his Clayton Heights home: IHIT

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is calling on the public to help further its investigation into the homicide of a Surrey man.

On February 12, 2021 at 7:19 p.m., the Surrey RCMP responded to a report of 31-year-old Adrian Golofit found dead inside his home near 194 Street and 66 Avenue. He had injuries indicative of homicide and IHIT was called in.

The last time Golofit made contact with friends was around 8 a.m. on February 11, 2021. Investigators will be working to build a timeline of Golofit’s activities from that point forward. IHIT is working closely with the I-Teams along with the Surrey RCMP to gather evidence.

Adrian Golofit was not known to police and the motive behind his murder is not yet clear, says Sergeant Frank Jang of IHIT. In cases such as this where police records about the victim is minimal, there is greater importance and urgency for friends and associates to reach out to police and offer whatever information they can.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
