Man Hospitalized After He Was Struck By Freight Train In Surrey, B.c.

    SURREY, B.C. - RCMP say a man was injured after he was struck by a freight train in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday afternoon.

     

    Police say the 58-year-old Surrey man was trying to get his dogs off the train tracks as the train was approaching.

     

    They say the man was hit by the train, which was travelling at a low speed as it was attempting to stop.

     

    The man sustained non-life threatening injuries and he was taken to hospital.

     

    The dogs were not injured.
