On Sunday at  approximately 3:30pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a male who had been shot in the 9100 block of 148th street.

Upon arrival, officers located a 35 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower leg who has been transported to a local area hospital in stable condition with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident is targeted and there is no risk to the public. There is also no indication that this incident is related to the lower mainland gang conflict.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 9100 block of 148th street between the hours of 0300 and 0400, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file# 2021-131168
