Surrey RCMP is advising the public that a man wanted in several jurisdictions for various offences was arrested in Surrey.

On February 16, at 10:07 p.m., Surrey RCMP Gang Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 14000-block of 102 Avenue. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver.

John Murray of the Surrey RCMP Gang Enforcement Team. They use many different proactive approaches including increased vehicle interdictions to target offenders. Regardless of where offenders are from or where they committed criminal offences, the goal is to diminish their opportunity to commit crimes in Surrey. 

The driver was identified as 32-year-old, Zachary Wagner who had active arrest warrants out of Prince Rupert, Terrace, Sunshine Coast, Fort St John and Whitehorse. Wagner was wanted for various offences some of which included assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm. Wagner was transported to Surrey RCMP cells and remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance.
