  • Masked Man Brandishing Machete Robs Nanaimo Liquor Store
Police are searching for a masked suspect armed with a machete who robbed a liquor store in Nanaimo.
 
Police say the man wearing a Halloween mask entered the store just before closing Tuesday night and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The RCMP says the mask was similar to one worn during an armed robbery at the same store last October.
 
Const. Gary O’Brien says police are investigating the possibility that the same person may be responsible for both robberies.
