Mediation Session Set In Photographer's Suit Against Justin Bieber

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 31 Mar, 2015 12:55 PM

MIAMI — A mediation session is set in Miami in an attempt to resolve a lawsuit against Canadian pop star Justin Bieber filed by a photographer who says he was roughed up by the singer's security.

Bieber was expected to attend the Tuesday mediation behind closed doors at a downtown law firm. In the lawsuit filed in June 2013, photographer Jeffrey Binion seeks unspecified damages for what he claims was an assault by a Bieber bodyguard outside a recording studio.

Bieber's security personnel have been accused in several similar incidents involving celebrity photographers known as "paparazzi."

While in Miami, Bieber appeared at the electronic Ultra Music Festival and sang with Ariana Grande at her concert Saturday night.

Last summer, Bieber pleaded guilty to reckless driving and resisting arrest in a Miami Beach incident.
