Mississauga Attack: Surrey Man Ronjot Singh Dhami Surrenders To Police

Darpan News Desk, 26 Mar, 2018 11:02 AM
25-year-old Ronjot Singh Dhami, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a violent attack on man with autism in Mississauga earlier this month, has surrendered to officers at 21 Division and was subsequently transported to 12 Division.

Dhami faces one count of aggravated assault.

Dhami's lawyer, Jag Virk, said last week that his client was innocent and did not participate in the three-man attack at a bus station in Mississauga.

On Friday, police arrested 21-year-old Parmvir Singh Chahil in Windsor, along with two others who were charged with accessory after the fact. Hardip Padda, 44, is the suspect’s mother, and Harmanvir Chahil, 18, is his younger brother. Both are from Windsor.

Third man involved in the assault at a Mississauga bus station remains unidentified. Police say he may go by the name “Jason” and was seen wearing a large, black Nike hooded sweatshirt.

Before Chahil and Dhami were apprehended, police had said that investigators received "credible" tips that the perpetrators were from B.C.'s Lower Mainland.
