Montreal Cabbie Arrested On Assault Charge After Allegedly Driving At Two Men

    MONTREAL — A Montreal cabbie who allegedly hit two people on purpose with his vehicle has been arrested and is facing a charge of assault with a weapon.
     
    The 32-year-old driver allegedly struck the two men for failing to pay their fare as they got out of the taxi early Monday morning.
     
    He is scheduled to be arraigned in a Montreal courtroom on Tuesday morning.
     
    An 18-year-old suffered head injuries, while a 20-year-old was also taken to hospital with less serious wounds.
     
    Police are looking for witnesses.
