More Than 2,000 Pigs Killed In Barn Fire North Of London, Ont.

    NORTH MIDDLESEX, Ont. — More than 2,000 pigs have died in a barn fire north of London, Ont.
     
    Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a call around 3 a.m. near Parkhill on Tuesday.
     
    They say the barn was destroyed in the fire, but no people were hurt.
     
    Police say the investigation remains with the Middlesex County Fire investigator, but the Office of the Fire Marshal has been notified.
     

    At least two other barn fires have killed animals in the last two weeks.
     
    A dozen horses died last week in a barn fire northwest of Guelph and a blaze in early January south of Guelph killed 43 racehorses.
