Motorcycle Rider Injured In Burnaby Crash, RCMP Seek Witness Video From Serious Collision

Darpan News Desk, 16 Oct, 2019 06:38 PM

Burnaby RCMP’s Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) is continuing to investigate a collision that occurred yesterday (Monday, October 14) and sent one man to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Yesterday, at around 5:45 p.m., the driver of a grey Toyota Highlander SUV collided with a white BMW motorcycle on Hastings Street and Ingleton Avenue in Burnaby.

It appears at this time that the SUV was travelling east on Hastings Street, attempted to make a left turn onto Ingleton Avenue and struck the motorcycle that was travelling west on Hastings.

The 51-year-old male driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition. Both the 55-year-old male driver of the SUV and a passenger in the vehicle remained on scene and are cooperating with the police investigation.

Today, police are asking for anyone was in the vicinity of Hastings Street and Ingleton Avenue between 5:30 p.m., and 6 p.m., and may have dashcam video of this collision to please contact police at 604-646-9999.

No charges have been laid yet in relation to this collision.
